AKASIE

Akasie språktjenester AS is the centre of a network of freelance consultants with university degrees in various disciplines in addition to mother-tongue competence in the languages with which they work. All are Norwegian government-authorised translators or possess equivalent competence and experience.

We have several long-term contracts with large government agencies and academic institutions.

The company was founded in 2001 as a spin-off from a former subsidiary of the University of Oslo, providing language courses to external clients. Akasie gradually reduced its activities in this area in order to concentrate on other language services. Today the firm is a well-established, highly reputed agency providing translation of both academic and other texts.

The firm currently has two permanent employees in addition to our network of 35 independent consultants working with us as associates.
